My research interests and expertise encompass studies in cultural and creative industries, organizational research, cultural sociology and economic sociology. And through my past experiences in reporting, I’ve been consistently involved in observing various aspects of the media industry, including its production processes, evolution over time, and its impacts on society. It reflects my active engagement and awareness of the media landscape. Therefore, these exploration and experiences constitute the foundations of my teaching and research focus.
The research topic of my doctoral dissertation, “The Dual Logic of Culture and Commerce: Development and Transformation of the Taiwanese Publishing Industry,” originated from my long-term observations of Taiwan’s publishing industry. My current research directions and achievements are also extensions of my doctoral dissertation.

In my medium- to long-term research planning, I am interested in using the publishing industry as a prototype for cultural and knowledge industries, continuing to study media, independent filmmaking, and other cultural and creative industries.
